In between stitching, reading about stitching and dreaming of stitching, I pruned the roses yesterday (Ouch, bloody fingers. I need better gardening gloves, evidently.) Raked leaves. Cleaned the garage a little. That got boring pretty quick so I tidied the kitchen again. (We eat 95% of our meals at home, so there are always lots of messes to clean up.) And...more folding of clothes... really? Does anyone else have little girls who change clothes 40 times (each) a day? I do ask them to tidy the clothes they take off so I don't have to pick them all up off the floor. But, let's be honest, 6 and 4-year-old girls can really only waste their time with so much tidying. Then they absolutely must change their clothes again.
Also, went to the beach. The Brad has taken up Surf Fishing and is feeling very manly and cool (and rightly so!) about feeding the family a small Surf Perch the other day.
And also in there somewhere, marbling paper, so fun and the results are fantastic!
In a nutshell, we're homesteading our asses off. Ok, so maybe I'm not a hardcore homesteader. But, come on, catching ones own fish does help me fit the bill a little more, no?
