Took my older to the MD yesterday- had to get the dreaded (but appreciated when needed) antibiotics for a pesky ear infection that would not let go. We sat in the waiting room, me, the feverish little girl and my embroidery (which has been tossed aside lately for my new sewing machine.)
I was all a mess in the waiting room with an overloaded purse full of a box of thread and the embroidery hoop and and a bottle of water and a sick kid. (She was not in the purse, but she may have well be, she was all curled up in my lap like a little kitten.) But what was really an issue in the purse was the darn pin cushion. I'm not a "big purse" lady, but even if I was, who wants a pin cushion in their big purse?! Now, really!! And I was like...dang it man...I really need...I really need... a.....needle book! And it was then I remembered about something I had seen in this book. Boy, I could really use one of those- I thought to myself. (Also remembering the cute one made by this doll of a lady.) So, after coming homr, tucking my wee one in with tea and ...yes...more TV (gasp!) I began to fashion a needle book in my own little style.
Would be a sweet edition to an Etsy store no? A few of these little cuties? Perfect for shoving in the ol' purse. Oui? Cutie pin cushions with a little hand embroidery also would be neat. What do you think?
And you know what else? I love you and your energy and comments because you are such a part of this process for me. I am depending on you like a friend in need. (Which is a friend indeed, you know.) I really like being on this journey with you. Don't you love how exposed I allow myself to be in front of you? I don't wait until I'm really just doing the best shit ever, you know. Nah. You're along for the trials. And... I need you. I know the word "need" was really chucked out the door starting in the late 90's. But....I'd like to bring it back. Ya. I need you.
