Um. Come on. Do we really need what has become a pricey Hallmark day to celebrate our love for each other? I say: If Valentine's day makes you feel a little more appreciative, creative, giving or loving, then...that's not certainly not a bad thing. It's a good reminder that those feelings are available everyday.
Hmmmm. Maybe it would be nice to go out to a fancy candlelight dinner, just The Brad and me, with dangling hearts everywhere and a deep dark chocolate and raspberry-laden mousse for dessert. That's not gonna happen though.
That's fine. Cause the truth is, I just really wish I had someone cleaning my house today. I'll come right out and say it: Forget the Valentines dinner. Get me a cleaning service for 6 hours.
But. That's not gonna happen either. So. Onward. The Brad brought me a little bowl of hot quinoa cereal with bananas and brown sugar. That's enough for me. You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you just might find, you get what you need. (I do wish the bowl was a little bigger though.)
Today is: Me getting up at 6 a.m.
Messing around with random placing of strips for a new 70's-ish baby quilt.
A big cup of coffee.
A growing family of houseplants.
New vintage cookie cutters on the wall helping to fulfill my dream of a wall full of them (and old muffin tins, too.).
A big freaking mess everywhere I look. Come on. Tell me to clean my desk, won't you?
**** It's confirmed through some of my regulars that that I am having issue with people leaving comments and have for the last few days, the comments are just dissapearing irregularly when some people try to post and I'm not sure why. I have contacted Typepad to see what the issue is. Sorry about this!
